The Windbag Marina was founded in Sandpoint, Idaho in the summer of 1976. Originally conceived as a sailboat dealership, Windbag has grown from a single straight dock and building to a sprawling marina that offers over 100 mooring slips, 25 storage lockers and a large and diverse rental fleet. Keith Sheckler continues management of the marina to this day, and has over 30 years of sailing experience to contribute in the form of sailing lessons, racing advice, fiberglass repair and rigging tips. The Windbag Marina spreads to the North side of Sandpoint City Beach and is within easy (5 minutes or less) walking distance of the downtown Sandpoint attractions.
